Review: My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite (Spoiler-Free)

3.5 stars

this book says “the wittiest and most fun murder party you’ve ever been invited to” on the back and yet it surrounded murder for approximately 0.2 seconds

it was definitely an interesting look at a twisted family dynamic, but i think it suffered from misleading marketing. this isn't a thriller, it's a contemporary story rooted in familial and romantic struggles.

i did really enjoy the writing style, and the story was super easy to breeze through-- I read it all within like two hours. that being said, i still wish it was more stabby stabby and less yearning yearning.
