Review: How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories (Spoiler-Free)

Some might think of him as a strong draught, burning the back of one's throat, but invigorating all the same.

YUP YUP YUP this was everything I needed right now. I loved being able to fall back into one of my favorite worlds, reading about my favorite terrible people.

The illustrations in this book are EVERYTHING. I legit could stare at some of them forever and never get bored. If you think the fanart for this series is amazing JUST YOU WAIT to see this canon stuff omg.

Reading this really made me realize I didn't read enough fantasy this year because it's my favorite thing to read and I barely read any??? I'm def going to focus on reading mostly fantasy for the next few months and hopefully next year (and maybe re-read this trilogy and the Grisha books??). Ugh yes this just got me into such a good reading mood.

Anyway, Cardan and Jude are some of my favorite characters ever and now I just want to go back and read their whole story over again.
