Review: A Castle in the Clouds by Kerstin Gier (Spoiler-Free)

All the shenanigans of a fun Christmas movie like Home Alone plus a heavenly castle-in-the-clouds hotel setting.

This book was so wild and ridiculous, but charming. Every character was fun and played a key role in the story and eventual mystery. There's romance, meddling kids, adorable animals, potential jewel thieves, and child kidnappers?? Truly such a fun, over-the-top mix for a holiday story.

A Castle in the Clouds is definitely aimed at a younger audience—maybe middle school or early high school being its target—but older readers can enjoy it just as well if they're ready for the chaos and drama.

Overall, I had such a fun time with this holiday read, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a winter/Christmas book that's full of whimsy and not exclusively a romance.
