Review: Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

4.5/5 swashbuckling stars! Going into this book, I was definitely not expecting to love it as much as I did. For some reason I thought it would read more like a middle grade, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't! While I can recognize some predictability and cheesy writing moments, overall I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was so much fun, and action packed, and definitely delivered onactually being a book about pirates. I also really enjoyed our main character Alosa, and I LOVED her hilarious comebacks throughout the story :D. Of course, I must also address Riden. I actually really liked Riden! And, to make everything better, I felt like the romance in this book was not overpowering to the plot at all, nor was it insta-love, which is always a plus. All in all, if you're looking for a quick pirate-filled adventure, I would totally give this book a try! P.S. I have already ordered the sequel from Amazon and it will be here in two days ;)
