Review: Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch (Spoiler-Free)

This book was really entertaining. Not a crazy original plot, but engaging nonetheless. The characters were all so likable, which actually makes the love triangle that much more annoying. I liked both options! I don't even have a side to prefer, because both of them are great characters. Overall, a fast-paced book with great characters, I only docked a star for lack of originality. I would definitely recommend this to people who enjoyed the Grisha Trilogy.

Meira is an orphan living with a group of seven other refugees. They are all from Winter, their home Season, but Winter has been destroyed by the evil ruler of Spring, Angra. All of Winter's people have been turned into slaves forced into working in Spring's capital Abril. Well, except for the eight refugees. To restore glory back to their kingdom, the refugees of Winter need to find their ancient conduit to bring back their magic. They need this magic to defeat Angra. Meira knows that she can do this, but, of course, nobody else believes in her.
