Unfortunately, I always feel like manga reads like a plot outline rather than a fully fleshed-out story, so I don't think i'm intrigued enough by the premise to read the next volume.
That being said, I enjoyed most elements of this in general and it reminded me of Kazuo Ishiguro's novel, Never Let Me Go. However, while that novel has a similar premise, it has a much more interesting execution as the orphans in the home never decide to rebel against their fates—providing haunting commentary rather than cliche dystopian revolution vibes.
There's enough mystery in this to make me kind of want to try the anime, but no promises.
