But the walls of a person's heart are not impregnable. Not if they've ever known love.

What could I possibly say that hasn't already been said? This is a series that keeps on giving.

Haymitch has always been one of my favorite characters in The Hunger Games, especially in the movies (shoutout Woody Harrelson), so when this book was announced I screamed. You'd think it'd be hard to add tension to a story where you know that every character will die except the protagonist, but you'd be wrong. Suzanne Collins never fails to make her novels exciting; she keeps her readers hooked to every word.

I was blown away by the sheer number of character connections made in this installment to other entries in the series, and they didn't feel cheap in any way either. Pieces of the Panem puzzle fall more and more into place with every book, and I can't wait for the adaptation of this one! A little scared to see the Haymitch casting... but I have hope.

Kk bye time to go rewatch Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
