Review: The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater (Spoiler Warning)

** spoiler alert ** Is it so wrong to have shipped Ronan and Kavinsky? I mean sure, they were pretty much enemies, and Kavinsky was pretty much a villain, but he was just so broken, and so is Ronan. Also, Ronan clearly had feelings for him, so what would nice Maggie Stiefvater do to let our ship sail, you ask. HAVE KAVINSKY FREAKING KILL HIMSELF. my soul has not recovered Phew. With that rant above out of the way, let me talk about what made me happy in this book rather than what made me sad :D 1. My all time favorite scene in this entire book: the chapter where Blue and Noah kiss simply because they can. they aren't in love, although they do love each other, but their whole dynamic just makes me happy. of course I ship Blue and Gansey though <3 2. When Ronan legit throws Noah out of a window for fun 3. The Gansey and Blue scene 4. The epic amount of foreshadowing that I kept having to flip back and forth between chapters to catch and appreciate 5. Blue being a feminist bundle of rage and destroying Adam's heart (sorry lol I like Gansey) 6. The character development just needs to be appreciated for a moment (especially Ronan and Adam) 7. I wish I could live in a house of zany psychics like Blue, that's honestly the dream (haha, dream! get it??) 8. Gansey eating Blue's yogurt 9. The texts between Ronan and Kavinsky 10. The Gray Man and Maura 11. The freaking fire dragon and albino night terror battle 12. Honestly almost everything because every moment of this book was amazing I cannot wait to read the rest of this series, but I also need to wait because I'm not ready.

"Are you crying?"

"Only a little," her mother said, and inhaled snottily and unbecomingly.

"Why?"

"Generalized sadness."

"Are you sad? Did something bad happen?"

"Not yet. A long time ago."

Song I was reminded of while reading: Fireflies
