Review: The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin (Spoiler-Free)

Well. This was rather charming. Honestly this book was such a pleasant surprise to me. I bought it at a used book sale because I had heard someone say good things about it once, but I never even really knew what it was about. I went into it a little bit nervous because I don’t usually love adult fiction. However, I really enjoyed this! The writing was really good and the literary criticism was interesting to read about. I loved all of the characters, especially Maya. I don’t have that much to say because it was such a short book, but I was definitely surprised by how engaging the plot was and how much I actually did enjoy it.
