Review: Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer (Spoiler- Free)

My feelings for this book are quite mixed. While I found it to be pretty addicting after the halfway point, I don't think the ending was very rewarding. I also didn't feel like it was a good book to read in short bursts at a time, which is how I usually read during the week because of school, so because of this I never felt compelled to pick it up during the week. However, despite these negatives, I did enjoy the story and the characters within it. I just didn't find it to be all that memorable, or "easy" to read without committing a lot of time to it at once. Also, I really enjoyed the interesting format of this book, even if it was confusing sometimes. This format involved photographs, words in weird shapes, blank pages, and so on. Overall, I thought this book was enjoyable, but nothing extremely or incredibly (haha get it?) memorable.

Song I was reminded of while reading: Payphone
