I really enjoyed almost every story from this book! I don't feel like going into too much detail about each story, so I'll only make comments about the ones that I have something to say about.

Well. This was rather charming.
Honestly this book was such a pleasant surprise to me. I bought it at a used book sale because I had heard someone say good things about it once, but I never even really knew what it was about. I went into it a little bit nervous because I don’t usually love adult fiction. However, I really enjoyed this!
The writing was really good and the literary criticism was interesting to read about.
I loved all of the characters, especially Maya.
Okay so here’s the thing: The first 75% of this book could have been condensed to probably 100-200 pages rather than 400 and that really ruined my excitement for this book for a while. It just dragged for so long that I was at some points even considering DNFing it. However, mixed in with the boring descriptions was some real 5 star material, so I kept reading. And I’m glad I did! After the first 75% or so I started to get really into the book (thanks to the audiobook too). A
