Of course this is 5 stars because the original book is worth 10 stars. I love this series so much, and while I do still prefer the novels, this graphic novel version was still amazing. The only thing about this that I didn't enjoy quite as much is that the plot seemed too fast paced since each page only took around 30 seconds to read.
I must re-read the actual books soon! :D
So the ending has me a little bit shook...
But before we talk about that, I'm going to try to gather my thoughts about the rest of the book into a semi-coherent review.
Some parts of this were a bit boring to me, especially at the beginning. I felt like there was no clear conflict or plot; there was no explanation for what the characters were doing and why. Some parts of this book definitely dragged (until the ending of course) and I found the chapters to be just a tinyb
Oof, that book was dark. I was delighted to get approved for this book on NetGalley because the synopsis sounded so intriguing, and I have been meaning to read a Courtney Summers book for a long time. I’m happy to say that I definitely want to read more from her.
I don’t want to say too much about this book because it’s a thriller and I don’t want to give anything away.
The things that I will say though are that I felt so bad for Sadie and I LOVED the format and pace in w
This was incredible. I was expecting it to be amazing, but I don’t think I was quite prepared for how impactful and important this book is.
Girl Made of Stars dares to ask the question that everyone dreads thinking about. How would you handle someone in your family if they raped someone? Could you ever see them the same way?
Even if you couldn’t, could you still love them? Would still loving them be wrong?
Ashley Herring Blake answers these questions in this masterpiece
This one is really hard for me to review. Some parts were a 4, and some parts were a 1. I’m torn between rating this a 3 or a 2, but I think I’m gonna stick with a 3.
If I didn’t have the audiobook for this book, and if I didn’t have to finish this for book club, I would NOT have been able to get through this. So thank you to my library for having the audiobook available!
I don’t have that much to say other than some parts I really liked, and then there was Alice. Alice i
I think I need to start by taking one huge exhale because I feel like I was holding my breath during this entire book.
Wow. That was honestly amazing, and a perfectly crafted story. Each character and subplot wove their ways throughout the book seamlessly, and everything was put into the story for a reason. It was so cool to see all the little details that carried themselves throughout the story and I honestly think it might need a reread at some point in order for me to ca
Overall, this book had very powerful moments, but also I don't think it's one that's going to stick with me for a long time.
I also went into it expecting it to be more of a thriller, and while the survivalist aspects were often thrilling, the "mystery" itself was not what I expected it to be.
With that being said, I still really did enjoy my time reading this book, especially with the development of the characters. It definitely wasn't the book's fault that I expected it
Eek! That was good. It took me little bit to get into the story and remember what went down in the previous two books, but MAN once I hit that point there was no stopping me.
I was also nervous going into this book because it has two perspectives, unlike the previous books in the series. However, it totally worked because when one perspective's chapter ended I HAD to keep reading to get back to them and find out what would happen next.
I've missed the Sherloc
